Biography




Kim Currie born and raise in the small city of Fredericton, New Brunswick. Kim has always loved creating art. During her middle school years, Kim discovered that she had a knack of drawing anime, a type of Japanese art form. Near the end of her high school years, she started creating crude looking dolls all hand sewn.
  In 2009, she entered in the Foundation Visual Arts Certificate program at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. She explored all the different varieties art form that were given and found she was drawn towards Fashion and Design. The following year, she went into Fashion. She was a bit nervous about learning how to operate a sewing machine and serger, but she eventually got used to them. Second year, she got to create her very first line ‘KimONo!’.​
