What Happened in June (Part 3)

Spiritus is the name of our gallery show.

Here is everyone's business cards and post cards.

These are my gallery piece. On the left is my Spring outfit. On the right is my cosplay outfit of Toph for the television series Avatar Last Airbender. I wanted to show the two sides of costume work, design and cosplay.

Here is a comparison between the original character and the outfit.
I also wore the this outfit to Animaritimes 2013.

Nice close-up of the belt.

The wrist and ankle bands were a bit tricky to figure out on the construct side.

This was my first ever wig making project.

Here is a nice close-up of Spring

What Happened in June (Part 2)

The gallery show:

Spiritus

I was a bit nervous about the show because I never did a gallery show before. But as the evening went on, I got more comfortable. It was a great experience.

This is a sneak peek of some of the work figured in Spiritus.
The exhibition is up all summer.

The Next Day:

Right after the gallery show opening, was graduation.
It was crazy how everything happened in one week.
This is the Grad Studies Group (start on the left): Emily Veysey, Leticia Jorge, Natalie Sappier, Melissa LeBlanc, Alexandre Baldissera, Kristen Bishop, and me!

What Happened in June (Part 1)

The first half of June, I was working on my gallery piece and getting everything else pass in and marked. It was a very stress full time for me, especially trying to get my business/ post cards done for the gallery show. There were problems that kept popping up with them. Eventually they were straighten out.

As promised, pictures of my work with the theatre company. These are headdresses of the four characters that were eaten by the plant and know are part of the plant.

This is underlay for carpeting that was used to stuff the larger leaves. Cutting and hand-sewing with this material was a challenge for me, but I got it done. (0u0)

These are all the piece used.

Middle leaves I sewn up and add wire around the edges.
Each of these leaves has a different pattern for one and other.

Larger leaves fabric was attach with fabric glue on.

Smaller leaves before assembly.
